Video encoder cannot be started as expected "014 Description: A video encoder error is encountered I get an "Error 014" message, and the error code description says: I'm a total newbie when it comes to video formats and codecs, but after researching various codes (and trying Lagarith which gave 60gb+ file sizes.no thanks! lol) I decided on the Avid NDxHD, but I can't get it to work in MediaCoder. This is a front-end for FFMPEG which makes it easy to convert formats using presets (including the ability to add your own) and batch processing.I'm trying to convert some mkv video files to avi for editing purposes. Useful for transcoding MTS AVCHD files to MPEG I-frame HD in an AVI container so that they can be imported into Lightworks. See this thread Virtualdub ( ) (open source). Note: FFMPEG suffers from a long standing bug that makes re-wrapping of MTS files to Quicktime problematic. Useful for re-wrapping MTS AVCHD files to QuickTime format (MOV, MP4) so that they can be imported into Lightworks. Can be used with a frontend/GUI like Avanti. This is a customised version of FFMPEG for broadcast and professional usage. FFMedia BroadCast (FFMBC) ( ) (open source). It is simpler to use but is not as sophisticated and has less features. Mediacoder actualy includes several encoding programs including FFMPEG (mentioned below). People seem to be having more luck with the 64bit version. It has a GUI and you can tell it to do a whole directory at once (or queue up several directories/files). Mediacoder is probably the best program to use. Hopefully in time more instructions foer specific codecs will be added to the Wiki. The Lightworks Forums Codecs section is a great place to ask for help. There are many settings that can be used and it can be verry daunting. Below are some programs that should help you with this. If Lightworks can not play the file natively and can not transcode the file itself you may need to use a media conversion/transcoding program to process the file before importing it into Lightworkss. We can then take a look at the possibility of supporting these additional formats. We are also aware that certain codecs such as MPEG-2 and DV25 can have variations, so if anyone has issues with certain files, please send us a small sample to (you need to log in to see the page). We will be extending codec support based on the feedback we receive. Image Seqeuence (BMP, Targa, TIFF, JPEG, PNG – others still to be tested fully) MXF Op1a MPEG-2 HD I-Frame (50Mb/s – 300Mb/s) MXF Op1a MPEG-2 SD I-Frame (10Mb/s – 50Mb/s) Native (playback performance dependant on CPU – transcode recommended) Here are the supported formats, if the format is not covered adequately look at the bottom of this section for a list of useful encoding/transcoding programs. Be nice to those supplying it, giving them abuse over format support is unproductive. EditShare is looking into using a open source program called ffmpeg to improve support and there will also be plugins where you can purchase certain codecs. When Lightworks is open source, only open source codecs will be used (or commercial professional ones you purchase specifically for use with Lightworks). Which leaves the current chain of beta releases with a very small choice of external libraries. At the same time proprietary libraries have to be removed/replaced before it is open sourced. Until it is, common GPL style licensed toolkits and libraries are not an option. It is still closed source until it is open sourced which is scheduled for summer 2011. Lightworks is currently in a transitional state. This means that even if you have a program that uses a codec installed on your computer, other programs may not be able to use it. This means that vendors have to pay to use these codecs and the licensing is generally to a particular vendor. The codecs for many formats are protected by intellectual property copyright. This section is to help people understand which formats are supported natively and how to use formats that are not.

Hans returns and uses Patrick to wash dishes in the sink (the same sink that Hans used for SpongeBob), clean a cactus, and a toilet. The doctor is not fooled and sarcastically assures his "fellow doctor" that they have a "special treatment" awaiting him. Wanting a lollipop of his own, Patrick pretends to also have the suds by blowing a bubble with SpongeBob's bubble jar. In the aftermath, SpongeBob is cured and receives a giant lollipop. The treatment involves being rinsed with soap and used to scrub various objects and people, which SpongeBob enjoys greatly. Sandy then takes SpongeBob to a real doctor, who prescribes the "sponge treatment," which is performed by a human hand named Hans. He sneezes violently, blasting the corks out of his holes and releasing a massive amount of bubbles, destroying the restaurant. In the commotion SpongeBob is sent bouncing away and comes to a stop in front of the Krusty Krab. Sandy says that SpongeBob needs to see a real doctor, but Patrick assures her that his "patient" is fine, leading to a squabble. "Doctor" Patrick starts by plugging up all of SpongeBob's holes to prevent bubbles from coming out, causing SpongeBob to inflate every time he sneezes.Īfter several more "treatments," Sandy arrives at the house and Patrick tries to hide SpongeBob to no avail. Terrified, SpongeBob asks Patrick to be his doctor instead. Shortly after, he is visited by Patrick, who gives him a third-hand account of the doctor's office, describing it as a horrible place full of torture devices and outdated magazines. Krabs learns from Gary that SpongeBob has the suds, he orders his fry cook to go home and rest and that he doesn't want him sneezing all over his food, which causes chaos at the restaurant and the customers leave.īack at home, SpongeBob decides he needs help and calls upon Sandy to take him to the doctor. However, SpongeBob is unable to keep up with his work and when Mr. Gary tells SpongeBob he should stay home, but SpongeBob stubbornly denies being sick and goes to work, anyway. By morning, he develops the suds, an illness that causes him to sneeze bubbles. He gets up to make himself a Sea-Nut Butter and jellyfish jelly sandwich, but falls asleep after taking the first bite and leaves the refrigerator open, causing his entire house to freeze overnight. Welcome, Biodiversidad Virtual!Ģ8,000 new species for image recognition!ġ0-09-2023 - On September 5th, the latest version of the recognition software (NIA) went live. Our development team is diligently working on the launch of the upcoming Biodiversidad Virtual portal. Spain's foremost citizen science organization, Biodiversidad Virtual, renowned for its extensive and high-quality community of observers and photographic observations, is now part of the Observation Spain team. on WWLP-22 NEWS.Biodiversidad Virtual joins 19, during which he honored 12 priests marking jubilees, including Father Jack Roach who is celebrating the 65 th anniversary of his priesthood.Ī video version of this story will air tomorrow morning on “Real to Reel” which temporarily airs Sunday mornings at 6:30 a.m. Sometimes it’s good to take a step back, have a moment of prayer, moment of fraternity, renew us so we can get back to the people we serve,” said Father David Aufiero, pastor of Holy Family Parish in South Deerfield.īishop Byrne celebrated Mass Thursday, Oct. There are so many burdens for us in ministry. “This is an opportunity for us to get together. The last convocation held in the diocese was before the pandemic. As I tell the guys I would do it all over again,” speaking of his vocation. The third section, I have some helpful hints that kept me joyful and happy. How do you stay happy in the midst of everything? Then we had the (church) closings and that was another time when people wanted to throw us out the window. “The first (talk) is how I got to where I got, how I became a priest and the joy of that, stumbling blocks around the way which is comical,” said Father Hickey. He also is a co-host on Catholic TV’s popular show, “Going My Way.” Father Hickey is pastor of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, serving the towns of Norwell, Hanover and Pembroke. “I think I’m looking forward to observations and hopes for which way we should move forward in the diocese,” said Father Piotr Calik, vicar general for the Springfield Diocese and pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Indian Orchard.įather Chris Hickey of the Archdiocese of Boston, spoke on the joy of the priesthood. So we are going to speak with each other and share fellowship with each other and to take some time together,” Father Nolte said.Ĭurrently there are 141 diocesan priests and two men in priestly formation for the Diocese of Springfield. We’ve been given the call from God and we have been given the grace from God to live that call, but it is taxing. Father Nolte chairs the Clergy Continuing Education Committee, which organized the convocation. It is very emotional and stressful,” said Father James Nolte, pastor of St. “We spend most of our time in ministry to others, some joyous like weddings and baptisms more often these days, sorrowful like funerals, being by their side as they die. In addition to being able to spend time away with brother priests in a beautiful setting, the convocation included Mass, Adoration, and inspiring talks. “It’s a time really to step away, hear good talks and renew ourselves and be better able to serve the people of the diocese.” “I called a convocation for the priests of the diocese as a time for us to renew and refresh and relax, to get away, to be brothers,” said Bishop Byrne. Byrne called for the three-day convocation to give priests an opportunity to step away from their parish duties, to gather in fraternity and to grow in their faith. Another potential reason to remove Activation Lock is when selling an iPhone. If the iPhone is in hand, unlocking is as simple as following the on-screen instructions and entering the username and password for the Apple ID associated with the iPhone. Removing Activation Lock can be done in person or remotely. This should also prevent resale of the device, since it will show any potential buyer that it is a lost iPhone and indicates that it can’t be reactivated without the correct password. This can also be done from any web browser by logging in to and clicking ‘Find iPhone.’ This locks the iPhone screen and optionally displays a custom message. To use Activation Lock, the owner of the iPhone can use another Apple device and the Find My app to locate it and get directions, play a sound, erase the device, or mark it as lost. If the iPhone can be safely retrieved, the Activation Lock can be removed again. With Find My enabled, Activation Lock prevents activation of the iPhone and makes it clear to whoever holds it, that the device is known to be missing and gives the owner the option to share a contact number and message in hopes of recovery. If using a preowned or gifted iPhone, it is worth checking the status by going to the Settings app swiping down, and typing ‘ Find My’ in the search box. If a recent backup has been made, the iPhone can be restored if it is recovered later.Īctivation Lock is automatically enabled if Find My is enabled, which is the default setting on any new iPhone. The app also allows an iPhone to be erased if it is suspected to be stolen, under threat of hacking, or if it contains sensitive information that shouldn’t be placed at risk. This is done via the Find My app, which shows where the user’s Apple devices and supported third-party devices are located. Related: How To Turn Off ‘Find My’ On An iPhone Before Selling Or UpgradingĪctivation Lock allows the user to mark an iPhone as lost, which prevents it from being reactivated without permission from the owner. In 1933, as the sun was about to set on Prohibition, the distillery was granted approval to produce alcohol for “medicinal purposes”, giving them a jump on production before the ban was lifted nationwide. Applejack was in vogue in the metropolitan mecca of New York City in the early 19OOs, served in popular drinks like the Jack Rose (made with lime juice and grenadine) and the Star Cocktail (a Manhattan that swaps applejack for whiskey.) Like most American distillery operations, Laird & Company shuttered during Prohibition, but was able to stay in business selling sweet cider, applesauce and apple soda for the thirteen dry years of the Noble Experiment. As New Jersey farmland became scarce in the 197Os, distillery operations relocated to North Garden, Virginia near the Shenandoah Valley. Robert Laird completed the first commercial transaction of Laird’s applejack in Scobeyville, NJ in 178O, and Laird’s continues to operate its historical headquarters, as well as an aging, blending and bottling facility, there today. George Washington was a fan of the Laird family recipe and wrote to request a copy, presumably to make his own “cyder spirits.” Robert Laird would later serve as a dragoon under George Washington during the Revolutionary War, during which time the family also supplied applejack to Washington’s troops. There he made applejack for himself, friends, and neighbors. Like many of his contemporaries, Laird deployed his distilling knowledge to make spirits with the most abundant resource at hand, the apples that flourished in his adopted home of New Jersey. The Laird family story begins when William Laird, a Scottish immigrant who is believed to have had a distilling background, relocated with his family to Monmouth County, New Jersey in 1698. We can’t talk about applejack in the United States without sharing the history of Laird & Company, and many of us in the bar world today would not be talking about applejack at all if it weren’t for Lisa Laird Dunn, the brand’s ninth-generation owner, Chief Operating Officer, and Global Ambassador. The low alcohol cider was left outside in cold temperatures, allowing water in the base cider to freeze, then be chipped away, leaving behind a potent, often rough, apple spirit (though most commercial distillers made their “cider spirits” in stills.) Applejack was made in several states in the Northeast during the Colonial period, but it is most deeply identified with New Jersey, hence its nickname “Jersey lightning.” Distilleries abounded in the Garden State in the 19th century, with more than seventy in operation there by the 189Os. Today the terms “applejack” and “apple brandy” can be used interchangeably in the United States, but the spirit takes its name from a method of freeze distillation called “jacking” that was used to make applejack out of hard cider in the 17th century. I’m not talking about the cereal (Applejacks) or the My Little Pony (orange with a yellow mane and five little apples on her hindquarters), but applejack the spirit, an American style of apple brandy that was one of the most popular tipples in Colonial America. It’s trendy to reach for pumpkin spice drinks as sweater weather rolls in, but to me, fall is applejack season. At ten, I thought: “there must be more to life than driving around to look at dying leaves.” All that nature would eventually win me over, and as an adult autumn in New England is one of my favorite times of year. As we adjusted to life in the sticks, my family explored the surrounding New England towns dotted with covered bridges, apple orchards, and once fall hit, vast vistas of brilliantly hued leaves. That summer we moved, leaving the congested highways and suburban developments of New Jersey, the only home I’d ever known, for a tiny New Hampshire village that had one general store and just one traffic light. When I was ten years old my father’s job was transferred from Central New Jersey to Southern New Hampshire. |
